System: Mac G4 400 AGP, Mac OS X 10.3.7-9

Will a DVD burner run on my system.
I see a Comstar (Pioneer DVR-111D) for sale
and wonder if it will run on my older Mac system.
If so what version of Toast must I have to burn DVDs Thanks

I've got a Pioneer DVR-111D in my G4 350 MHz AGP and it works. I am running 10.4.9.

If you are not using Tiger (OSX 10.4) you will need PatchBurn <http://www.patchburn.de>

Ah yes, Patchburn was the final piece in the installation process. Thanks for the info.

.... to use it with Apple's disc-burning OS components, like iDVD, anyway.

Toast shouldn't care about PatchBurn.

Toast 5 will burn data DVDs just fine, as well as video DVDs that are authored separately. Toast 6 has some simple DVD authoring components as well.
