This is just a little something for the Windows users to try.
Something I heard about via email:

"I don't have an install to try out, but apparently this works on Windows Vista:

1. Hold down the Windows key and the E key at the same time for about 10 seconds.
2. Vista crashes.

Feel free to try it if you have a copy. Let us know if it actually works."

No, Vista does not crash. By holding both keys at the same time you repeatedly open new explorer Windows. How many I don't know. Quite a few. I held it down for over 30 seconds and Explorer eventually crashed (but automatically restarted). Vista remained operational and I am typing this after having performed the test.

Funny.

One person I trust and Information Week both agree it crashes Vista and you disagree.

Well the person you trust is a complete moron like yourself. It doesn't crash windows, doesn't do anything. I made a video with Snag It would you like to see?

http://www.youtube.com/v/qFTXYjkc5M8

Here ya go. I actually held the keys down for like 1 minutes after opening a new explorer window. Makes some dings because you are holding multiple keys down for so long but nothing even close to a crash.
Alan is wrong again, lol. What a suprise.

You're loony. It doesn't crash Vista it runs out of memory after opening many many IE windows. I bet the same thing would happen to OS X or any other OS if you use up all the memory. Even so it will make it where it won't respond for a while. You'll have to close some of those windows. Alan, you must have a pathetic life. Sitting around all day long trying to find flaws in Vista and lambasting MS and Windows.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!? It's essentially a denial of service. OS X doesn't provide the means to protect itself from excessive resource usage either. So don't get to cocky.

This isn't "a newsgroup about a computer I don't use". This is a newsgroup about a computer I *do* use.

This is a newsgroup to compare computers you don't use to the computer you do use. Damn are you Mactards dense. This has been explained to you repeatedly and you still don't get it. You think it's some exclusive forum where only Mac users are permitted to participate.

where only Mac users are permitted to participate.

I wasn't commenting on permission, "PC Guy". I don't think that at all.

LOL!
