 |
|
i have an old g4 tower that i just decided to fire up again. i am using a generic usb keyboard and even the most simple shortcuts like ctrl copy, paste, etc don't work. i prefer to use flock as my internet browser on my pc, and was hoping i could use it just as easily on my mac. shortcuts don't work in other programs as well.
any software or hardware advise is very welcome. thanks! |

Have you tried switching keys, for example with Double Command? (from Versiontracker, MacUpdate, ...)
If it was a Logitech keyboard, you could use one of their layouts legally...

On a Mac the shortcuts are COMMAND c, v, x, etc. Also, if it's a generic keyboard (that is, a pc one) the command and control buttons are in different positions to a Mac one.

I have os x 10.4.x. It has a remapper in it, and I have my alt key as command and the windows key as option. It defaulted with windows as the command and alt as option, but os x tiger is polite enough to allow me to choose my own layout.
I love all my macs, all the way back to my SE. (Anyone got an old 128 laying around?)

I've got one. At one point I had a few dozen machines around here, of which more than half were Macs. Most of them are gone now but the 128 my wife got in January 1984 and the SE that was the first Mac I owned will stay around as will 2-3 non-Macs. |
